The Aweta Packing Line Sorter
There is some really cool technology in the college of Ag. One of the biggest projects, literally was the install of the Aweta System produce sorter. In partnership with Bee Sweet the $600K system was installed in one of the little used warehouses that used to be part of the auto shop department under industrial technology.
I was asked to consult on the campus IT side of things and brought together the needed groups to ensure the install and technology onboard the sorter would work on our network. This involved isolated v-lans with access to the outside and two way communication with the Aweta systems home servers. A few meetings wioth fields ops and network engineering and we were all set. I also had to enable and setup remote access for Aweta onto the local CSU computer running the system. I worked with the Aweta engineers and technical support to address their needs and we were goods to go.
I was also asked to help create a time lapse video of the build. I recommended the equipment to use, made the purchased and set up the cameras. After the build was completed I delivered the raw video to the Ag department to create the time lapse show in the below you tube video.

Here is a video I made with the Chair of the industrial technology department showing the Aweta system in use. (Video highly compressed sorry)
