Projection Mapping Demo

As a certified Digital Signage design and media creation expert I was asked to create a mapping of the entrance to McKee Fisk, the Technology Services Main bldg., by a prior CIO for Technology Services. Although the project was not implemented due to covid hitting and funding cuts, the demo came out great.

I used Facade Signage as my mapping software. For the demo I corner loaded the projector in the main entrance, blocked out and matted the wall sections I would use as projection surfaces. Note, the curved upper section was fun as I had to warp and wrap the wall without having the projected material loose its original shapes and contours.

The left most "light can" would be removed and replaced with a directional speaker the projects sound into a 3x3 foot square on the ground so one does not hear sound unless directly under the speaker. This would enable information, directions et et for those that stand there. The audio would be from the smaller screen to the left of the doors.
