The AI revolution of today is like the calculators of yester-year. With each iteration of new technology we add another chapter to the long and repetitive book, where we see any new technology being labeled as disruptive and dangerous.
I'm old enough to remember seeing a classmate get suspended for bringing a calculator to math class. Later it was pagers and cell phones. Now it's AI.
AI may be the focus all our attention now but like the calculator, and cell phone before it, time will make AI technology just another footnote on the page of technology history, and like the calculator it will be just another tool everyone has and doesn't think anything about... or will it?
